Tobago

Tobago is still the best-kept secret in the Caribbean. This tropical island is about thirty miles long, by seven miles wide at its widest point, with a population of fifty thousand people. Tobago lies eleven degrees north of the equator, with an average year round temperature of eighty-seven degrees. Its main ridge consists of pristine tropical rain forest, protected by law since 1765. This is becoming increasingly popular among nature lovers.

The lowlands or wet-lands of Tobago flourishes with mangroves and inhabited by a variety of birds. Among them are the Mangrove Cuckoo, Night Herons, and Blue Winged Teal. The pelican is quite common on the island and can be seen coming into the mangroves to roost with the setting of the sun. During the day you can see them diving close to shore.

Beautiful coconut palm fringed the white sandy beaches graced with  turquoise and emerald waters of the Caribbean sea. Jagged cliffs and panoramic view of golden sandy beach bordered by lush tropical vegetation. Quaint villages surround the island with a variety of exotic fruits and flowers lending colour to the landscape. The unhurried life style of a people who has cling to their culture and is bless with peace and tranquility.

Tobago is rich with marine life and astonishing scenery of the underwater. The beautiful female stoplight parrot fish swim by. You can see the Spanish Hogfish Queen Angel, Sergeant Major, and the French Grunt among the Elkhorn coral. Divers interact with the flying Manta Rays and Gorgonians wave you by.

You must have envisioned some of these delights at some point of your life. We hope our website will add this delightful possibility to your fantasy and a Tobago Vacation will make your dreams come true.
